Annual FC Christmas Parade Winners Announced
The winners of the annual FC Christmas Parade have been announced, bringing festive cheer to the community. This year’s parade, held on December 9, 2024, featured a variety of creative and colorful floats that delighted spectators.
The Forrest City Area Chamber of Commerce, which organizes the event, revealed the winners in several categories. In the civic group category, Tonya McKinney took first place, showcasing a beautifully decorated float that captured the spirit of the season. The industrial/commercial category saw Woodruff Electric winning first place, followed by East Arkansas Industrial in second, and Forrest City Medical Center in third.
The novelty category was won by the Forrest City Housing Authority, with the Department of Child Services and Elite Hospice and Home Health taking second and third places, respectively. In the church category, Lane Chapel CME Church secured first place, with First Baptist Church of Forest City and Bethel Baptist Church coming in second and third.
This year’s theme, “Christmas in the Delta,” was brought to life by the participants, with Larry Freeman serving as the grand marshal. The parade not only celebrated the holiday season but also highlighted the creativity and community spirit of Forrest City.
As the event concluded, organizers expressed their gratitude to all participants and attendees, looking forward to another successful parade next year.
