Woli Arole Extends Generosity to Agodi Prison Inmates
Popular Nigerian comedian and actor, Woli Arole, has extended a helping hand to the inmates of Agodi Prison in Ibadan. Woli Arole, whose real name is Oluwatoyin Bayegun, visited the Nigerian Correctional Service, Agodi Custodial Centre, to donate much-needed relief materials to the inmates.
During his visit, Woli Arole expressed deep concern over the high number of inmates awaiting trial at the facility. He revealed that approximately 1,200 inmates are currently awaiting trial, highlighting the urgent need for legal assistance and support. The comedian, who is also the founder of Friends’ Fellowship International, emphasized the importance of providing hope, love, and happiness to those behind bars.
Woli Arole’s initiative, aptly named “Hope Beyond Walls,” aims to address the challenges faced by inmates by offering legal aid and ensuring that bailable inmates receive the necessary support to secure their release. He stressed that the well-being of both inmates and prison staff is of paramount importance, and his organization is committed to making a positive impact on society beyond mere preaching and teaching.
